Our Mission

Animal Talks exists to help people who are grieving the loss of an animal companion and to support deeper understanding of the human–animal bond. We offer grief counseling, workshops, support groups, community outreach, and education that center care, connection, and emotional well-being. Our services are grounded in compassion and respect for the experiences of individuals and families coping with loss.

“Kaleel has very special listening skills …  so few people have that ... which means he knows just the right questions to ask ... and those questions can lead to wonderful, exciting discoveries.”

— Wendie Hansen

What We Do

Animal Talks Inc, provides a range of services and experiences focused on grief support and community education:

  • Individual and group grief counseling for people coping with loss

  • Support workshops and small groups designed to explore grief, connection, and meaning

  • Veteran support programs, including care for those grieving service K9 companions

  • Community outreach and education, including workshops in schools, community centers, and houses of worship

  • Resources, events, and online content to help people understand and grow through grief

Our work recognizes that grief is not something to “fix,” but something to be held with care and meaning.

“Each animal that connects to us leaves fragments of their heart and soul with us. It is always an honour and I hope they knew my heart and soul was shared with them too.”

Dr. Helen Davita, Animal Communicator, Spiritual Teacher and Guide
